Employment
MDA believes that there should be better opportunities to employment for refugees and migrants. Our advocacy seeks to address the barriers to employment and training experienced by refugees and migrants, and to work towards systemic improvement and reform.
As employment issues are a key priority for MDA, the Advocacy unit convenes the Employment Action for Cultural Diversity (EACD) Working Group. EACD members are advocates from multicultural community organisations across Queensland. EACD‘s mission is to undertake advocacy about employment and training issues, barriers and challenges for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people from new and emerging communities (NEC) in order to achieve systemic improvement and reform.
